Angelique or not...

She might be Angelique or Diabolique,
translucent petals with just the slightest hint of pink.

Every fall for several years, hundreds of bulbs find their way in to the soil.
Despite all my best efforts, the names usually escape me.
However, when the tulips surface in
Spring for the garden party-it is all delight!

Satuday May 31 Plant Fair and Craft Sale: 10:30AM-1:30PM

On Saturday, I will be sharing, showing and selling my new book featuring recent works, botanical and landscape embroideries, as well as hand-made cards. This is a fund-raising event that supports community gardens in Toronto.  Hope to see you! Cheers, e

The focus of the Horticultural Societies of Parkdale & Toronto is community gardening—making it accessible to those of all ages and physical or mental abilities. The funds raised at our annual Plant Fair and the Garden Tour go to support approximately fifteen community gardens, from boulevards and corner lots, to schools and the heritage gardens at Colborne Lodge, home of the founders of High Park. Many of our members are active in other community efforts that make for a livable city. Some things, like gardens, cut through all boundaries and open the door to mutual understanding.
