Purple for Scent

And the hardest part is the waiting and waiting and waiting.
But when the hyacinths showed up to
the garden party this week,
the fragrance alone was worth it.

Planted these onions in my urban garden two days ago.

Grown in Beeton, Ontario originally-
roughly 100km northwest from downtown Toronto.

I bought the 10lb bag from the neighbourhood green grocer.
This is the start of a new experiment inspired by a
dear friend who loves to grow food on
her kitchen counter.
